e is for...

...eagle.

A symbol of freedom for our great country.
My son's favorite bird.
When I see them in flight... or up in their favorite tree, I feel incredibly privileged. Blessed.

He will raise you up on eagles' wings,
bear you on the breath of dawn,
make you to shine like the sun,
and hold you in the palm of His hand.

-On Eagle's Wings

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Great pictures! I have yet to see an Eagle in the wild. Can't wait until I do. I just hope that I have a camera with me.

I love this...the pictures are so great. I have only seen 2 in the wild and I too am amazed and blessed when I see them.

You know, I almost did Eagle...but I was going to show the two very tacky ones my Grandma gave to us recently. :) Same bird, different thoughts.

Oh my gosh - that song brings me right back to St. Theresa's grammar school - in saddle shoes. Love that song!

I don't think I have ever seen an eagle - I need to think about it.

(Cracked up at your comment about my "E" post. That was my fear, too - about them not letting me do the 2nd one when they got older. A whole year????)

Funny, that is our son's favorite bird as well. We used to go hiking trying to find them. I've only seen them at a distance while hiking - Not close enough for good pictures. But we've stopped our car a couple times to stare. They are awesome.
