the village people

You know how when you clean out your closet and half-way through it looks worse than when you started? It kind of looks that way around here.

Okay... more than kind of.
I am really hoping that by the weekend our home will look like a winter wonderland.
Or at least as close to it as you can get way down here in sunny Florida.
But here is the news flash...

The village people are out of their boxes and are having a party in the town square. Before they head to their respective neighborhoods. Later... much later. I figure they will party all night. And most of tomorrow. But that's okay...

...because when all is said and done... even they can find their way to the manger.

Oh my gosh, you just described my house to a tee! It has to get worse before it looks better, but I really hate this limbo period of pulling Christmas stuff out while figuring out what to do with all the boxes!

Love it! This is the first year in 29 that I'm not doing the decorating routine, and I do miss it. We're taking a Christmas trip and not exchanging gifts this year. I well recall that "worse than before" feeling though. It's hard work, decorating.

it all looks way too familiar Dawn--started but not done is my decorating style of late...I love that you call them the village people! We have a village without people that we call the "willage". :0)

You are so funny! I want to come over and put them all in silly predicaments..PLEASE????
But the manger...well, I will leave that part nice.
I felt this way a few weeks ago...cleaning out drawers and closets, for a while there things look really bad and scary, but you get through it!

Too cute! : ) I have big stacks of Christmas stuff still wandering around too. I was thinking the other day that it might BE Christmas before I get all the Christmas stuff organized. LOL

My mom has a Christmas village that has grown so big it takes up half the living room and takes her something like eight hours to set up. I love her, and I love how it looks, but I really hope she doesn't leave it to me in her will! LOL
