out of africa

The memories come softly, but don't sit still.
They weave themselves throughout my soul again and again, and call out to my heart.
There is no need to shout... even a whisper is enough to awake all of Africa that still lives in me.

It has been a year since we've been and gone.
A year that has been full and beautiful and saturated with who I am now
There is no doubt within me that I am changed because of where I've been.  I can't quite put my finger on it, or assign words to the differences between then and now, I just know that now I am... more.  My view of the world is changed for the better and brighter.  I have seen joy where I didn't expect it, and the images still dance through my soul.

The rewards of the journey far outweigh the risk of leaving the harbor.

I love that quote.
Africa does something to you. It must seep into your blood and pool in your heart once you've experienced it. Botswana changed my daughter. Even just looking at the photos makes my heart melt.

I hate the person you quoted at the end is unknown. Cause I love it. Love.

Reading this post, I realize how small my world has been. Your photos touch me deeply. I need to come back when I have more time and read your story about Africa. No I don't have the desire or the call to go, to Africia or even outside the USA. I am one of those people the the Lord has called to just bloom when HE plants me, here in FL for now and that is wonderful to me. Yet, I am enchanted by your words of how Africa changed you, by your photos, and so I have to come back and seek to know about such a large, large world such as yours.
I will be back!
Blessings,
Lynn
