not rushing...

I go seeking fall... poking around the store, knowing Thanksgiving is coming, wanting to wrap myself in the warmth of it, the comfort. The pumpkin spices, caramel colors and golden wheat baskets bring on fall to the full. But there, beyond the rust colored leaves and woven cornucopias I see... the sparkle of Christmas.
Oh, Christmas is coming, and before I know it, the sparkle stirs my heart.
Christmas is coming... the story, familiar and true will be retold... the promise renewed. And while I don't want to rush it, I look forward to having that promise bloom in my heart once again.

Hi, Dawn! We're sort of on the same wave length today--I posted about "not rushing" the seasons, too :) Here's to squeezing a few more days out of fall before embracing Christmas! Love your photo :)

last year it seemed to take forever for me to get in the mood for Christmas...this year, I feel it starting already. I'm not in a rush either...but I will welcome it all soon enough!

I almost missed this post! And that would have been a loss. I'll join you in relishing these last couple of weeks of looking at the world through amber-colored glasses. . . but after that we'll be seeing stars, won't we??
