{virtual coffee}

It has been so long since I participate in virtual coffee... and I have missed the camaraderie. Today, as I step back in, I imagine what it would really be like... to walk into the coffee shop after being away so long. The trembling heart, unsure and once again shy... the courage it takes to dig deep for that breath and take the first step...

And then, the worrying that was for naught... welcomed back in, with smiles all around. And I think this blog world does smile brightly... and the friendships are one of the biggest blessings that have come from this mess of words I splatter about.

So today, if we were really meeting for coffee, I would sit and listen... enjoy the laughter and the smiling eyes. And the conversations about who has their Christmas decorations put away, and who is still lingering in the season (that would be... me) Maybe we'd ask who decorates for Valentine's Day, and who just skips on ahead to spring. Me? I'll definitely be adding pink and red to my winter-wonderland of snowflakes.

Maybe we'd get around to wondering about weekend plans... and I'd have to tell you, that we are looking forward to a seventeenth birthday...
Thank you for the coffee talk today... I'm happy to be joining in again! Come on over to Amy's... the more, the merrier!

I adore your new header - and those shoes!
I haven't blogged in nearly a week... we're sick around here (still... ugh...) and I also have that timid feeling about putting my feet back in the blogging world... it's all silly though :)
Have been thinking of you lots... wanting a warm'ish beach walk and talk!

Hey girl. . . I've been away from my computer (because Lee has been using mine--his computer [a hand-me-down from his big brother] fell off the bed and broke). Anyway, I'm so behind on blog reading! I've missed my visits here. But I've just caught up. And I was so glad to see the photo of your painting! What fun! And I loved your 10 on 10 photos. It's fun to get a glimpse into your day. :)

A word of warning. . . 17 is a little hard on the mom. So I'm glad to see that you've been making the most of your time. You're a wise woman. :)

I was just thinking today of digging out the valentine stuff. And I have seen some really cute wreaths that people made... so I am hoping to put something crafty together!

Christmas down and boxed up and in the living room...that is my decor status.

Valentines...maybe a little.

Spring...love to decorate for spring...in colorado, though, it comes late. No rush on that stuff.

i love that you decorate with snowflakes in FL. :0)

I probably won't decorate for Valentine's Day, but my kids probably will. Assuming I get the Christmas tree out of their way before then. :)

It's been awhile since I've joined up for Virtual Coffee too...but always fun to be back! Love your shoes! And I am enjoying the little break between holidays, but love Valentine's Day, so I am excited for that, but haven't started to ready for it quite yet :)
